CHAPTER 1

Read the First Chapter of Titan's World!

Our story takes place on a planet far from yours. Astray from your moon and solar system. There is a planet created by the Titan called Vituna. It is called Asatha'ras. But this is a broken world, a puzzle missing a piece. It all started before the war. All the races under the protection of Vituna lived in peace: The Human, The Moon Elves of the Shadowglens, The Shathera, or the Gravity Trolls in the Moonlight Thicket and the blood-thirsty orges of the Rocky Canyons. In the Humans' kingdom, we have King Andrewis Loth the 3rd. As well as his beautiful wife Queen Julia Loth leading by Andrewis' side. In a certain town, in a certain house, a baby girl was about to be born. "AH! Miguel! She's coming!" Maria, Miguel's wife yelled in pain. "It's ok, Maria! Just keep breathing!" Miguel said calmingly encouraging her to have his child. Miguel was looking forward to being a father to a baby boy but when the High Priest of Zuto told them that the young couple that they were destined to have a baby girl, Miguel became more exhilarated. One more push and Angelica Bailey Cross was born. As the baby cried, the midwife handed the purple wool to Maria and she started to cry tears of joy. "Miguel... She's really here. Our little Angel." Maria said with a hint of joy in her voice. Angelica started to breathe quieter as she started to close her sleepy eyes. Later that day, Maria and Miguel's friends and family came to the small cottage to see the little bundle of joy. She was the most precious thing in the house. But not only Miguel and Maria were watching the little one. An evil force had been watching her since her birth undetected.
"Ugh! What an ugly baby! I don't know why they called it Angel." complained an annoyed Lady Nadilli. Lady Nadilli was the queen of Demonic Empire on Astha'ras. She was accompanied by the King of all Demons; Sadrethar. "Honey, we've been over this. The child's name isn't Angel. It's Angelica." It has been 2 years since Angelica's birth and the Council of The Betrayer has been keeping a close eye on the child. "We can't just sit here and wait for the prophecy to be fulfilled! We need to get the child here!" Ancartha yelled ferociously. "Silence!" Nadilli yelled, establishing silence. "We will figure out something!" Sadrethar said to Ancartha with a willing face. "I say we send somebody to kidnap this child!" A Von Trapp sector council member stated. "All in favor, say I,"  said establishing a vote among the group. The letter came from seven of the nine council's members. "Then it is settled. Ancartha, young lady?" He asked the High General. "Yes, sir?" She responded with authority. "You will go to the Human Kingdom and get this child here. Report to us via hologram if it takes that long." He gave the orders in a very serious manner. "Yes, my lord." She respectfully said back. As the council filed out of the courtroom, Ancartha ran down several spiral staircases down to the grey fields in front of the main castle of the demons' immense empire. "High General?" The stableboy asked her annoyingly. "Yes, stableboy. And by Tharkonnin! Have some respect!" She rode off to the Humans Kingdom after spitting on him for his disrespectfulness. "May Tharkonnin's blessings be upon me." She whispered to herself. Tharkonnin was Asatha'ras' True Demon King. He betrayed his closest friend, Vituna and descended to the deepest depths of Hell. Ancartha was fast on demonic horseback and made it to the Human Kingdom and kept making her way to the small town of Brooks.
"Honey!" Miguel yelled. "Yes?" Maria answered. "We're running low on water! Can you go grab us some?" Miguel asked tenderly. It was at this time that Ancartha had entered the small, spread out, village. She gripped her sword tightly. "Sure," Maria said, kissing Miguel lightly on the cheek. She grabbed a wooden pale from the small kitchen and heads out the back door. She runs down to the River of Life that cuts through the entire Human Kingdom and the small town of Brooks. She almost gets a small scoop of water but then, she feels a sharp pain blasting through her chest. She tried but failed to keep her screams in. "AHHHHHH!" She wailed in pain. "Are you Maria Cross?" Ancartha asked her. "Yes! Why?" Maria asked her pointing to her wound. "Because I am the Betrayer's servant." Ancartha chuckled in Maria's ear. Ancartha made her sword retreat from the wound in the young mother's chest and sheathed it in her dark leather holster. "Now to take your body as my own. Your rotting corpse will be a part of the ritual of summoning!" Ancartha said triumphantly. "No!" Maria yelled. She tried to gather her strength to move her body, but that energy kept pouring out of her like a waterfall. Ancartha began to chant a curse, a blood curse that all demons have access to. Slowly, the remaining life that was left in Maria began to drain until her body was only bones draped in a cloak of dead skin. "Yes. Perfect. I have her memories. This mission will be a success." Ancartha said to herself. She grabbed the pail from of the ground, scooped up the holy water burning her.
"Honey? Are you ok? I heard you scream." Miguel said to "Maria" as she entered the house. "Oh! It was the biggest fish I'd ever seen! It jumped right at my face!" She exclaimed "Momma!" the young child exclaimed to who she saw as a mother. "Oh!" Ancarthis took the child into her monkey arms. "Baby! Hi! How was school! Did you meet any friends?" she asked the three-year-old. "Yeah, but I got hit today," Angelica told her, her happiness draining from her expression. "By who? If it was Daisy, I will talk to her mother. " "It was Daisy," Angel told Ancarthis. "Then I will talk to her momma," Ancartha answered. "Promise?" asked the three-year-old. "Promise. I will always be there for you." "Double Promise? " she asked again. "Double Promise, Angelica."
